1. CLIMATE CREATORS Keynote
From his book CLIMATE CREATORS, Gene presents 10 dynamic principles that create a positive ethos in workplaces, homes, and schools. You’ll witness Gene smashing cups to illustrate the myths of change, or see him wear a monkey on his back to illustrate the need to work through problems. Included in this keynote: Bold Visions, Energizers, Willed Futures, and Invitations. There are Climate Creators and Destroyers in every organization! You will be challenged to become a Climate Creator.
2. Character Centered Classrooms — Focus on 7 Core Ethical Virtues — Keynote or Seminar (Resource Book Available)
Over 25 years of research, including interviews with students who participated in the program, will be shared in this presentation on ethics. The keynote presentation introduces the audience to seven core ethical values which are linked to the body and are based on behavior. Values in Action! presents clear reference points for discipline that helps kids in making ethical choices. The program includes: Integrity Creed, Parent Newsletters and Posters, Monday Memos, Test of Respect and Respect Records, as well as Ethic Forums.
3. THE KIDS WHO CHANGED MY LIFE Keynote
(The most frequently requested motivational speech for large audiences.)
Gene reflects on his 33 years as an inspirational leader in education. He describes the children in his life who he asserts have been his greatest teachers. Six major principles of effective teaching are presented. You’ll never forget Jenny, a six year old who changed his life forever. This presentation includes music and touches all the emotions! Expect to see Gene as Anger Man, and have cards fall from the attitude umbrella. It’s quite possible that the entire audience will be dancing!
4. THE BIG R – RESPONSIBILITY Seminar

This seminar starts with “who left the milk out?” then moves to challenging the audience with the difference between responsibility and control. The workshop includes dozens of practical ideas for teachers to use to implement a program on Responsibility Management. Other areas covered include Self-Management Program, Ethics vs Rules, Student Code of Ethics, Classroom Management Strategies, W.B.R. Program, Goal Setting, Daily Learning Pledge, 11 Rules to Relate, Classroom Counseling Center, Challenging Students, Accountability Partners, Resolving Conflict, and Value Centered Reference Points. Participants will be provided with a change model for building personal responsibility.
5. Respect Factor Seminar
(3 hrs or 5 hrs ) (Comprehensive Workbook available)
From his nationally recognized program Values in Action!, Gene, or one of his associates, will guide participants in developing an organizational-wide program on respect. The workshop includes: Respectful Listening, Test of Respect, Respect Pledge, Respect Reports, Panel Presentations and Journal Topics on Respect, Personal Assessment, Ethic Awards, and Respect Affirmations. Participants will discover new and important perspectives on Respect!
6. Discipline and The Difficult Child Seminar
(3 hrs or 5 hrs ) (Comprehensive Workbook available)
In this session, you’ll discover the importance of how you define your children. You will learn numerous problem solving strategies including “What would Winnie the Pooh do?”, “Heavy Freddy”, “Monkey Business”,
“Bark and Eager Beaver” and “Dis-Aster” and Gene Bedley’s popular W.B. R. Program. Learn new songs that call for appropriate behavior, and reinforce social skills through classical music.
Transitions that get immediate results may be non-verbal, include hats or other props, and programmed responses. You’ll also meet Dr. Anger Buster as he invites participants to train children with proven anger management techniques for expressing strong feelings.
Participants will learn proven strategies for working with young children, who are angry, difficult or challenging.
Highly practical solutions and strategies will be shared to help your students develop more responsibility and self-discipline at a young age. Ideas will also be shared for discussing difficult behavior with the child’s parents.
New Seminar
Character Lessons for Life
From Gene Bedley’s new book Character Lessons for Life, Gene introduces participants to 7 core ethical virtues that contribute the most to the development of character with a clear reference point for specific behavior. You’ll learn numerous strategies and solutions for implementing a value based educational program from the Respect Jar, Kindness Charts and Respect Reports.
Particpants will be given strategies for building an Ethical Community, Rules for Responsible Students, Classroom Code of Ethics and Ethic Forum topics. Strategies for responding to disrespectful students will be shared.You’ll be introduced to classical music with Charater lessons to use as reference points for discipline.
A focal point of the seminar includes helping kids realize the difference between purpose and activity. The 4 skills and 4 relationships needed to live your life on purpose will strengthen you and your students in your Character Education efforts.
