An Individual Can Make a Difference

in Elementary Schools, Middle Schools, Secondary Schools / by Gene Bedley
July 1, 1997

AN INDIVIDUAL is a person that gave me life on Earth.

AN INDIVIDUAL is a person who has helped me see that often pain and challenges can build character.

AN INDIVIDUAL is a catalyst who challenged me to accomplish something I once thought was impossible.

AN INDIVIDUAL is a person who can bring me to tears over human tragedy and loss.

AN INDIVIDUAL is a person to help me see that change is the norm and to embrace change as a positive force.

AN INDIVIDUAL is a person who believed in me and loved me even when I didn’t love or believe in myself.

AN INDIVIDUAL is a person who taught me that when love and skill work together, expect a masterpiece.

AN INDIVIDUAL is a person who helped me see the power of one can make a significant difference.

While numerous individuals are paralyzed into believing they cannot make a difference, other individuals are

mobilizing themselves daily to cause things to happen. Be an Individual that makes a Difference.
