10 Respect Activities for 2020

Super Virtue of all virtues

1.The way we treat others is proof of the respect we have for ourselves.

2.Explore with students examples of being disrespected.

3.Its important for students to construct their own meaning of respect.

4.“Chain it” Activities- Give an idea or examples that promotes Respect in the classroom

Students choosing students to give ideas with class on message of Chain It

5.Team competition with ideas that generate the Most Respect in the classroom

6.Create school wide and classroom posters. No demeaning, disrespecting, discrediting, others school wide policy

7.Tips in “Taming our Tongue” To reduce offensive language in classroom

8.Selecting respectful student Role Models to emulate

9.Three questions that cultivate Responsibility

  1. How do you show respect?
  2. How do you gain respect from your peer group?
  3. Why is Respect important to have in relationships?

10.Create a parent newsletter that embraces the importance of respect in students homes.
