Activity That Tells About You

Invite the participants in your class to complete the following sentence- People Are… Ask them to do it 3 times by filling in a word that completes the phrase.. After they are finished ask them not to share this with anyone because what they put down is who they are.

Rationale is…

You only can put down what you know and are looking for. The question was not “What is the nature of humankind?” People will read in a lot when answering the questions. The fact is, whatever you are looking for in other people you will find it!

There are some qualifiers. If you just experienced an abusive situation, tragic divorce, unruly teenager, or where someone really hurt you the qualities you put down may not be who you are.
