A Teachers Educational Philosophy
I believe God put us here on Earth into this thing called life so that we can learn and grow towards His purpose. My mission as a teacher is to generate a love of learning within others. I must continue to reach beyond myself in order to gain meaningful
knowledge and, with grace, wisdom. As a teacher I am a model to my students in every way. Therefore, I must constantly take inventory of my morals, behavior and thinking, and promptly admit it when I am off the mark so that I may lead my students in a positive direction. It is my responsibility to thoroughly understand the content I am teaching and use my strengths to engage my students in the lesson. I also need to find ways to renew myself when I feel discouraged, by talking with other teachers and asking for advice. As a teacher I need to understand how a successful school operates and be ever ready to lend my talents, words of encouragement, knowledge and prudence so that the school will fulfill its mission. I believe that an effective teacher knows himself/herself and works to become what God expects. Teaching and learning are what it’s all about for all of us. A good education is a valuable possession that no one can take away. It is a privilege to be a teacher.
