WBR Cards for Preschoolers

in Primary Schools / by Gene Bedley
March 7, 2013

Preschool teachers have often asked what are the three main areas I can give WBR (without being reminded) cards to my class for appropriate behavior. Here’s one idea for the 3 areas to print on back of cards so you can check off and put into a basket.

The children know that they can receive 3 cards a day.

1. For clean-up time.

2. For being kind to other children.

3. For behaving and listening to the teacher.

Set a goal for all children receiving all three cards every day. Remember be generous with the cards especially in the beginning so the kids will know they work! Make one out for all the kids ahead of time so you make sure all kids receive one to start the program. The cards are not for taking home but to keep in front of them so they can see all the times they are responsible as you pull names out of the basket throughout the day. You want to say, “Wow!!! Are you guys responsible!” several times as you begin the program.
