Teacher’s Aid is a program which lets a teenager
put into action the values which he or she has learned.
Under co-development by the Bureau of Essential Ethics Education and
the public charity Optimizing National Education, Teacher’s Aid is
available for *private* viewing at www.opnated.org/programs
Filling a niche in the menu of youth programs offered by national
organizations, Teacher’s Aid invites a teenager to do research, make a
presentation before a service club or business, and lead a discussion in
an elementary classroom. The teenager has the option to earn money
or receive a commendation letter to attach to college applications. If
she chooses a letter, she will be eligible for, and might receive, a
college scholarship at the end of the year.
One of the final steps before Teacher’s Aid goes public is integration into
the Values in Action program. If, after looking at the outline on the
Internet, you believe that the program will be of help to teenagers in your
community, tell Van Ajemian by e-mail, vanajemian@hotmail.com and he will notify you of the public debut.
