Parent TV council study proves without a doubt that prime time TV is going down a

moral sewer! Among the PTC’s findings:

— Sexual content, coarse language, and violence combined nearly tripled from

’89 to ’99.

— On a per-hour basis, sexual material was more than three times as frequent in

’99 as it was in ’89.

— The rate of foul language in ’99 was more than 5.5 times higher than that of

’89.

— In addition, PTC analysts found that the sexual practices discussed were

often more deviant, and the offensive language used was harsher in the 1999

study period.
