Personal Responsibility Code of Ethics
* I recognize that while the forces in the world are pulling people apart, I will do whatever I can to strengthen and respect others.
When you are for people, you tend to empower people and you. When you discredit people, you weaken them and you!
* I recognize that vulgarity, swearing, and racial epitaphs are offensive to others. Swearing often shortcuts the way people really feel.
I will make every effort to practice non-offensive language that expresses strong feelings.
* I recognize that people have affection for others. However, intimate expressions of that affection in public can be offensive.
I will follow the PDA Guidelines. PDA (Public Display of Affection ) is limited to agreed upon norms established by parents, staff, and student leaders. Veto power remains with those who are ultimately responsible for minors.
* I recognize that individuals do not have a right to say whatever they want, whenever they want, to whomever they want.
I will express the truth with compassion. I will exercise restraint and patience in expressing myself toward others.
* I recognize the importance of being respectful and considerate of others and their world view, including cultural and religious beliefs.
I will not discredit, discard, or disrespect other people and their beliefs.
