Discovering Human Differences and Similarities
Objective: To explore the similarities and differences that make us who we are. This is an activity in which the entire classroom can volunteer attributes that define us. Begin by brainstorming all the attributes that makes us exclusively different and then brainstorm a list of attributes that make us like each other.
Discuss the positive aspects of being different as well as the things that set us apart.
Learning: Kids will begin to see we are more alike than different and begin to appreciate the things we have in common as human beings.
