Kids' Acts of Perseverance
I asked the teacher to help me.
I read a whole book.
I didn’t win, but I finished the race.
I didn’t give up on the hard math problem.
I practiced skating until I didn’t fall.
I kept trying when I thought I couldn’t do it.
I practiced until I could hit the ball.
I shot baskets until I made three in a row.
Kids’ Acts of Respect
I say “please” and “thank you.”
I raise my hand and wait my turn.
I shake the other teams’ hand when we lose.
I am quiet so others can read.
I put my soda can in the recycling bin.
I do not stomp on flowers.
I play by the rules.
Kids’ Acts of Responsibility
I rake the leaves.
I return my library books on time.
I showed mom the dish I broke.
I told the truth.
I did my chores before Dad asked me to.
I took my little brother to the park.
I didn’t complain.
I made my own lunch when mom was busy.
Kids’ Acts of Compassion
I took another classmate to the nurse when he was hurt.
I held my brothers hand when he was scared.
I gave my sister a hug when she was sad.
I invited a new student to play with me and my friends.
I let my firend hug my teddy bear.
I helped my grandmother pick up some trash.
Kids’ Acts of Cooperation
I put the paints out for the class.
I let somebody else pick the game to play.
I let everybody have a turn.
I sang in music class.
I helped put the groceries away.
I set the table for dinner.
I put my toys away.
I played first base when I wanted to be pitcher.
