Seminar Participants Letters
Gene,
Time and time again I have turned to your materials, your books, your school program “Values in Action!”, and your newsletter when I need guidance and focus. Although I have stacks of other materials, it is yours to which I turn first and last. I suppose you could say that they speak to me. Your approach – no frills, no fancy psychobabble, no flavor of the month methodology, no fluff – is refreshing.

Dear Gene,
I just wanted to thank you again for all of the wonderful information you shared today. It was nice to just be a sponge for the day–absorbing all of the 30 plus years of research/ information. Your presentation was so enlightening, so interesting, so creative, so compassionate…. If I could be 1/16th of the teacher you are–I will consider myself a success. Although I just spent one day listening to your words of wisdom, I was touched by your true allegiance to the difficult child. Your words regarding the “wanted” child brought tears to my eyes–and then you did me in when you played Sandi Patti’s song. What a crescendo! I also appreciated your comments on the spiritual aspect, as well as your comments about academics not being the only important part of a good education. I look forward to attending more seminars–and I have already called my “principal friend” back in Blue Springs, Missouri–I told her that she missed out on an awesome seminar. I told her that you would be great to have as a guest speaker!!! Oh well–thanks again–I have some specific questions about two of my students, but I will save those for another time. I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed today’s seminar.
God Bless,
Cindy Goldschmidt
Dear Gene.
I started reading 2 of your books and they are wonderful!!! There is so much useful information, I mean I can really use!! There are many books out there about discipline but very few that are put in a way that can be useful; not just a bunch of words or suggestions that don’t mean anything and have not been tried. Oh, I guess I should tell you which ones I am reading; Discipline Strategies and Solutions and The A B C D’s of Discipline. As I read these books I’m finding myself saying “Yeah, what a great idea, Wow, that really makes sense. Hey why didn’t I think of that??” Interactive reading??? Motivating!!!
